myDataSIM’s advantage is the reduction of personnel costs, and online monitoring of the data volume consumption. The SIM card is preconfigured, tested and delivered integrated in the instrument. All you need to do is switch-on the measurement instrument and you can immediately start collecting data.
How is data transmitted?
Data is transmitted via the internet using a special protocol. For the transmission of data you need a GPRS-card (SIM-card).
How much does the transmitting of data cost?
For Austria and Germany we offer fees from 6.50 Euros per month per and measurement point via myDataweb:SIM. In case of international and global use we would be pleased to calculate your transmission costs on request. It is also possible to use your own SIM cards (in Austria from 2.50 Euros).
What is important for transmission at optimal cost?
The costs depend on data volume, operator fees, pulsing and the country specific roaming costs. The data volume is calculated from measurement and transmission intervals. As a rule the intervals are adapted to your requirements taking the respective operator fees into consideration. In principle the smallest offered data volume is sufficient for myDatanet, as it works with a very slim protocol.
What is the advantage compared to a radio-solution?
The radio network evaluation for myDatanet can easily be carried out with your own mobile phone. The SIM card costs are a contribution to the supply of the worldwide common GSM/GPRS radio network. There are no further costs for complicated antenna, radio network establishment and operation.
